Miners, Canon and Slayer

Quick update. Working on miners, canon and a slayer. Painted all the parts that need Dwarf Flesh as well as the weapon heads. Tried a green wash on the canon.

Terrain

This terrain piece arrived in the mail today. Nice hard plastic and painted! Good value for money.

Dwarf Warriors finished!

Thin coat of antishine matt varnish was sprayed on today, and the Dwarf Warroirs are done!

Trying something different. Going to use a black basecoat instead of white. This going to be fun!

I just couldn't resist... The twin for Warhammer 40k was just such a great looking item that i had to get one too. These versions will be the last ones i will own :)

Dwarf Warriors dipped!

Dwarf warriors dipped. Took about 20 minutes. Now to let it set and harden for 48 hours before spraying anti-shine matt varnish.

Warriors almost done! Did the beards, belt and horns today. Had fun mixing colors for the beards. But the leader has a bright yellow beard like his twin, who leads the Thunderers unit!

Ok after a one day break, I was more hardworking today. Sat with my kids and supervised their studying while at the same time painted on smaller details like Dwarf Flesh, details on the helmet skirting and skirting on the weapon handles, as well as the leather bags! Whew! Next session will be the beards and Gold details! Almost done!!

Waiter's Table

OK found the L-joint.  Its 60 cents. 1m of the same pipe diameter is about $1. So we need 8 joints and 8 lengths of pipe. Should come up to about $10. And its white! So no need to spray it white :)

Oh since it 15mm as the shop owner says, the screw that goes through both the pipes at the axis should be at least 4cm in length.

Not much time today, so used about 1.5 hours to paint 1 color. Black for the boots and for the weapon shafts.

After another hour, the rims of the shield and arm bands are done! Used Army Painter 'metal'.

Dwarf Reinforcements!

Hammerers arrived in the mail today! Have to strip the paint first though. Does not look too heavily coated so the usual method of soaking in Dettol should do the trick!

Today painted in bronze trimmings and mithril armour. Next session will be the rims of the shields.

Sat down for 2 hours. This is the result. Used only basic red from Army Painter. Weapon heads and shield emblems are GW Bolter.

Painting at night with flourescent light is tough on the eyes though..

Dwarf Thunderers Done!

Ok the dipped dwarfs were left to dry and harden for 48hrs and were sprayed with a matt finish today!

Now for the next unit!
