Starting again part 7

Finally done! Dwarfs were sprayed with anti-shine matt varnish, left to dry, and finally joined their fellow warriors done previously. This completes my unit of 20 stout warriors!

Dwarves were dipped today. Looks a lot like the original batch. Now just wait 48hours before applying matt varnish!

Painted the horns using GW Bleached Bone, and added flock to the bases. Sadly this was done late at night so I did not have the time to dip. Saturday will be busy whole day so I guess have to do it on Sunday!

Dwarf warriors 90% done! Now just need to paint the horns and dip. Hope to get it done by tomorrow :)

Starting again part 3

A bit more hardworking today. Managed to do the shields, weapons, hair and beard. Next session will be the skin, gold, other small details and touching up. After that comes the Armypainter dip and matt varnish. So i think another 1-2 hours of painting and I'm done!

Spent an hour to paint on Black for yhe boots and weapon shafts. Also Mithril Silver for the armour.

Starting on another 8 warriors to bring my unit up to 20 warriors, from an initial 12 Dwarves.

Thin coat of antishine matt varnish was sprayed on today, and the Dwarf Warroirs are done!

Dwarf warriors dipped. Took about 20 minutes. Now to let it set and harden for 48 hours before spraying anti-shine matt varnish.

Warriors almost done! Did the beards, belt and horns today. Had fun mixing colors for the beards. But the leader has a bright yellow beard like his twin, who leads the Thunderers unit!

Ok after a one day break, I was more hardworking today. Sat with my kids and supervised their studying while at the same time painted on smaller details like Dwarf Flesh, details on the helmet skirting and skirting on the weapon handles, as well as the leather bags! Whew! Next session will be the beards and Gold details! Almost done!!

Not much time today, so used about 1.5 hours to paint 1 color. Black for the boots and for the weapon shafts.

After another hour, the rims of the shield and arm bands are done! Used Army Painter 'metal'.

Today painted in bronze trimmings and mithril armour. Next session will be the rims of the shields.

Sat down for 2 hours. This is the result. Used only basic red from Army Painter. Weapon heads and shield emblems are GW Bolter.

Painting at night with flourescent light is tough on the eyes though..
