OK found the L-joint.  Its 60 cents. 1m of the same pipe diameter is about $1. So we need 8 joints and 8 lengths of pipe. Should come up to about $10. And its white! So no need to spray it white :)

Oh since it 15mm as the shop owner says, the screw that goes through both the pipes at the axis should be at least 4cm in length.
